Classes are taught in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where interaction between the instructor and students is encouraged and emphasized. Although a book is used, it mainly serves as a reference and guideline. Supplemental materials — such as handouts, short videos, and Italian music — offer interesting insights into the Italian culture while expanding students’ knowledge of the language.
In addition to classroom instruction, guided tours to Italy are offered for La Gabri-Elle’s students and their family and friends. These tours provide the students with an opportunity to use their newly learned language skills in actual conversations with local Italians, to read restaurant menus and order in Italian, to barter at local Italian markets, and much more! It is truly an enriching experience.
Gifts and specialty items are imported directly from Italy and are available a la carte or artfully packaged in handmade gift baskets of various types and sizes for all occasions.
